Can the hair be colored?

Human hair lace wigs can be colored. We strongly recommend enlisting the services of a licensed hair professional that has experience in coloring this type of hair. We do not recommend dying the lace, wavy, curly, Yaki or synthetic hair to avoid damaging the previously processed hair.

What color lace should I chose?

You should choose a lace color that matches your scalp so your part will resemble your natural scalp color. The following are guidelines to help you select the correct color lace:

Transparent lace works well for white, off-white or cream scalp tones. E.g. Jessica Simpson, Jenna Jameson, and Charlize Theron.

Light brown lace works well for light brown scalp tones. E.g. Tyra Banks, Beyonce, and Rihanna.

Medium Brown is good for beige or light beige scalp tones. E.g. Ciara, Eva Mendez, and Eva Longoria.

Dark Brown is good for women with dark complexions and scalp tones. E.g. Naomi Campbell, Serena Williams, and Kelly Rowland.

What is a full lace wig?

A full lace wig is manufactured with a cap and thin lace sewn on top of the cap. Individual hairs are looped and tied into the lace. The knots are bleached to make the hair lighter and more natural looking. The thin lace will be around the entire perimeter of the unit. You will be cutting the lace to create a hairline around your entire head. You can wear the hair in an up do or high ponytail. It will appear that the hair is growing directly from your scalp.

A lace front wig is similar to a regular wig along the back and sides of the unit. The front is made with a thin lace that extends from ear to ear across the hairline. The lace will be long when you initially receive your wig. You will cut some of the lace along the front of the unit creating a hairline. You can cut off all the lace and wear the unit without adhesives or you can leave some of the lace and apply adhesive to the lace. This is a good alternative if you are looking for a temporary hairstyle.

Light Density: This density is 80% thickness of an average head of hair. It is recommended for people whose natural hair does not have much volume or thickness and they want to recreate that look. Light density on a lace front or full lace wig shows a good deal of scalp so it may not be the best choice for everyone.
Light to Medium: This density is 80% to 100% thickness of an average head of hair. It is the most popular density for full lace wigs and is usually constructed with light density at the hair line and medium density throughout the rest of the wig. This is the most natural looking and most recommended by top stylists.
Medium to Heavy: This density is 100% - 130% thickness of an average head of hair and is the standard construction for many stock lace wigs. This density is best for someone who wants a very full hair style and may not be the best choice for curly hair which has a tendency to swell.

Heavy: This density is 150% thickness of an average head of hair. This density in full lace wigs is usually worn by performers who desire an extremely heavy style. This density is not recommended for a person looking for a natural look in a full lace wig.

How to tell if human hair is real?

In order to tell for sure whether it's real or not, take a strand and do the burn test again, but this time SMELL the hair as it burns. Real human hair has a very distinct smell when it burns, while synthetic hair has a smell like burning plastic. Synthetic hair will also produce black smoke when its burned.
And the human hair is soft, the Synthetic hair is hard. The synthetic hair is too shiny under the light.

How to Wear Full Lace Wigs?

WIth a wig, you can have any hairstyle you want.

Full lace wigs look natural and stay put when you put them on correctly. They can even be worn during most sports activities without coming off. Put on your full front lace wig the right way so that only you will know that those luxurious locks are not yours.

Put on a flesh-colored wig cap, tucking all of your hair inside the cap. Adjust the wig cap so it sits at your front hairline. If you don't want to wear a wig cap, comb your hair back away from your scalp line.

Cut the lace on the full lace wig. This only needs to be done the first time you wear your wig, and it does not need to be done if the lace has already been trimmed by the manufacturer. To trim the lace, put the wig on your head. Use hair clips to fasten the wig hair back away from your scalp line. Trim any lace that sticks out past the wig hairline using a pair of sharp scissors. Cut small amounts of lace at a time to avoid accidentally cutting too much. Be careful not to cut any of the wig hair. Leave a little bit of lace sticking out past the wig hairline, but no more than one inch.
